Immediately after graduation, I spent four years at Ohio State, receiving a B.S. in Education with a major in music. I taught public school music at Pleasant and Mt. Gilead. In 1967, I met my wife Karen Meister who was the Home Economics Agent for the Cooperative Extension Service in Marion. We were married in Cincinnati (her home) in 1969, and moved to Cincinnati in August of 1970. I took a teaching job at Forest Hills School District and we bought a home in Mt. Washington (east side of Cincinnati) where we still live. In 1972, we bought a meat stand at Findlay Market in the Over the Rhine area of Cincinnati which we operated until 1985. I purchased an Osborne Computer in 1983 to help run the business (oh, sure...) and ended up learning to program in BASIC, then dBaseII and finally FoxPro. I have written custom software for the funeral industry and for several Cincinnati businesses.
I am still working, and intend to work until the money runs out.

School Story

Many fond memories of the Jay Walker Band gigs and the Hi-Y Coed Dances. Stardusters, Joe Berg Seminar, Miss Stump's English class - failing a 6-week period of French - ah the good old days!

On April 6, 2018 June Johnson sent this account of knowing Jim at Kent State in 1967:

I knew Jim when he went to Kent State University, he wanted to be a veterinarian.

He had lost his brother-in-law Ken Robinson in the Vietnam war. Ken was a MIA until 1989 when they recovered the remains and his airplane. He was a pilot.  That bothered Jim a lot that he was missing.

He said he had to stay out of college one year to get extra money to pay for his college knowing what would happen with the draft.  He didn't have to go he was the only son but he went anyway.

He did enjoy the Army way liked the buddies he made in there.

He was on maneuvers at Eglin Air Force Base to be a Ranger when he and another young man were struck by lightning.  The base was/is  noted for lightning strikes.  He was buried in Cresthaven Memorial Cemetery, Bedford, Indiana

I miss him and think of him daily. Someday we will be together again.

He was one of the sweetest most loving person i have ever met.  I worried about him going to Vietnam because he never could hurt anyone or thing.  He was so intelligent, witty and caring but you guys knew all that.

I am sorry I can't add more. Hopefully you can use some of this information

Thank you
June Johnson

I received an email from Tom Price today. He asked me to share it with the class:

"Please let everyone know that I am on Oxygen 24/7 and have not been at 1040 Blois Dr. since October of '14. I have been home only about 6 weeks. Since February of last year I have been in either a hospital or nursing care/rehab center more days than at home so I have not been able to respond to classmate emails. I had a cardiac arest last year. I am better now but time was when my pastor, Brett Gleespen, thought he would be doing my funeral. That would have been ok as I have asked Jesus into my heart back in '72, so when I die, I know where I am going.

You be Blessed,

Tom and Debbie Price"

Keep Tom and Debbie in your thoughts. He is a remarkable individual who has overcome many of life's most troubling times.
