Alpha Jean Howard Dixon, age 70, of Columbus, Ohio had been in failing health for the past 14 years. She recently passed away at the Kobacker House on November 17, 2015 at 5:33 PM where she was carried away on the wings of angels. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky and raised in Marion, Ohio. Alpha graduated from Harding High School in 1963, married in January of 1966 and divorced in December of 1978. She was a hard working, loving mother dedicated to her four children; Matthew Gene Dixon, Christopher Martin Dixon, Robert Allen Dixon and Jaime Anna Dixon-Johnson, her four sisters; Mary Elizabeth Kincaid, Carol Sue Kincaid, Polly Ann Burge and Evelyn Juanita Kazee, her seven surviving grandchildren and six surviving great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one grandson and one great-grandson. A celebration of Alpha's life will be held on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 4:30 PM in the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Bill Savage.
