MARION: Allen Jay Foos, age 70, of Marion went to be with the Lord Friday, December 25, 2015.

Allen was born on September 3, 1945 in Marion, Ohio the son of the late Austin Foos and mother Laura Hilda (Frey) Foos, who passed away at childbirth, and mom Dorothy Foos. On March 10, 1967, Allen married Janet Young in Marion, Ohio and were together for 47 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: JoAn McGinniss and Betty McKinniss.

Allen is survived by his wife of 47 years: Janet (Young) Foos; two daughters: Brenda Foos (Richard Jackson) and Angela Foos (Ben Terry); four grandsons: David W. Garver, II (Andrew Perez), James (Elizabeth) Korp, Robert Korp (Cassandra Swinnings), and Zachary Oldaker (Olivia Williams); one granddaughter: Samantha Lawson (Clint Williams); one step-granddaughter Tiffany Jackson (Derek Detwiler); and one surviving sister: Roberta Wallin; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 starting at 1 PM to 2 PM. Graveside service will be held at Grand Prairie Cemetery following the visitation hour. Online condolences can be expressed to the family at www. boydbornfuneralhome. com
